I've built businesses since I was 20. Now I help you build yours.
From managing a coffee shop to #2 out of 217 stores, running a Superhost Airbnb, breaking into medical sales, getting headhunted by two healthcare startups, and founding PeerFounder.com β I've spent my life pushing into the next thing. Now I coach business owners, host the STARTUP or SHUTUP! podcast, and build communities for people who refuse to stay still.

I built everything myself. Now I'm building the support system I wish I had.
After running a top-performing coffee shop, an Airbnb business, a nursing career, medical sales, and two startup roles β I realized the biggest gap isn't talent. It's support. PeerFounder, my podcast, coaching practice, and Chicago meetups all exist to close that gap.
Every chapter built the next one. Here's the full story.
From a rural Michigan village to building an entrepreneur ecosystem in Chicago.
First job at the community pool
Started working as a cashier at the public community pool in Quincy for $5.35 an hour. Juggled McDonald's, clothing retail, and extracurriculars all through high school. The hustle started early.
Left home and opened a coffee shop
Left home at 18 for college, supporting myself the entire way. I helped open and manage a coffee shop in a brand new market in Michigan while going to school full time for nursing. My first real taste of entrepreneurship.
Nursing career in Chicago
While nursing was never my true passion, my calling has always been working with people and finding ways to support them. After nursing school, I moved to Chicago and established my career in both the private sector and nonprofit. It taught me empathy, communication under pressure, and how to build trust fast.
Airbnb Superhost
Built a successful Airbnb business from scratch and earned Superhost status. When the COVID pandemic changed the world and the travel industry, I made the strategic call to quickly exit rather than ride it out. That taught me when to hold and when to fold.
Medical sales
Jumped into medical sales, pushing my limits on what I was comfortable with. Growth is best produced by getting comfortable being uncomfortable. This chapter proved it.
Headhunted by two tech startups
Was headhunted for my first healthcare tech startup and eventually onto a smaller one. I learned all the good things about a startup and all the things not to do in a startup. Invaluable lessons on both sides.
Elected to condo board
Ran and was elected to serve on my condo building's board to help my neighbors and protect our shared investment. Community leadership isn't just something I talk about β it's something I live.
PeerFounder, podcast, coaching, and meetups
I was laid off on my birthday when my startup closed its doors β the best gift ever given to me. I went full throttle to bring PeerFounder from ideation to market. Instead of asking to go on other people's podcasts, I created my own. I designed a full ecosystem to support entrepreneurs by building partnerships, meetup groups, and rolling out my coaching business.
βI've always built everything myself. That's why I know exactly what it takes β and why I created the support system I wish I had.β

I'm a builder and a connector. If you want someone who can zoom out, zoom in, and still keep it human β we'll get along.
A nurse's heart. A founder's hustle.
I'm Colin Fraley. I live in Chicago. I've lived in Thailand, traveled through Egypt, Morocco, Colombia, and India. I appreciate different cultures and perspectives β it shapes how I connect with people.
My career started at 20, managing a coffee shop to the #2 spot out of 217 stores. Then nursing, Airbnb, medical sales, two startup roles, and finally β building my own thing. I've always pushed myself to grow, learn, and teach. That drive is what powers everything I do today.

Let's make something happen.
Speaking, podcast guests, coaching, community β or just a good idea you're ready to ship.
Common questions, real answers.
No fluff, just the stuff people actually ask me.
I started in business at 20, helping open and manage a coffee shop that became #2 out of 217 stores. I then became a nurse specializing in chronic disease management, ran a Superhost Airbnb, moved into medical sales, and was headhunted by two healthcare marketplace startups. Now I run PeerFounder.com, host the STARTUP or SHUTUP! podcast, advise business owners, and organize entrepreneur meetups in Chicago.
Career pivots, entrepreneurship, building businesses from scratch, healthcare innovation, community-driven funding, and the real (unfiltered) journey of going from employee to founder. I also speak on world travel and how global experiences shape better business thinking.
Absolutely β just fill out the contact form and tell me about your audience. I bring energy, real stories, and zero fluff.
